Sep 28, 2015 · There's more to it than that, though, and HDMI 1.4b simultaneously supports and does not support 1920x1080 at 120Hz. It supports the 120Hz 1080p throughput only for 3D processing, which it does by cloning the data packet for concurrent output to the display device.

Sep 07, 2015 · Only HDMI 2.0 has the ability to carry 3840x1440 at any decent refresh rate, and so far that's only @ 60hz. I believe that HDMI 2.0 should be able to carry 1440p a@144hz. Does your GPU have a DisplayPort slot on it? If so I know for sure that DisplayPort 1.2 or higher does 1440p 144Hz.

Aug 11, 2014 · You won't get 1440P 120HZ, if you only have a HDMI port on your GPU then it is probably not powerful enough to run 1440P 120HZ anyways HDMI can only support 1440P 60FPS share
