Mar 07, 2012 · A few weeks ago Intel released a BIOS update for their H67 Media Series motherboards that provided support for next generation 22nm CPUs, better known as Ivy Bridge. Shortly their after the file was pulled because of issues with bricked boards. Well today an updated BIOS dropped offering this, and a few other features.

Jul 24, 2011 · UPDATE: After further research, it seems Ivy Bridge IS IN FACT compatible with Cougar Point Chipsets (P67 and H67, and even possibly Z68). So, a couple of months ago, we had a source stating that IB CPUs would in fact work with P67 and H67 chipsets with a simple BIOS update.

Nov 11, 2015 · About the swap, you can`t be running the 3770 before doing the flash, nothing will show up on the screen because it`s not supported, you keep the Sandy Bridge in there, do the flash, then put in the Ivy Bridge.

Dec 16, 2010 · I would plan that Ivy Bridge will not be supported on P/H67 chipsets although we might get presently suppressed. Sandy Bridge brings Quad Core more mainstream, i.e. all Core i5-xxxx and better are quads. My personal expectation is LGA1155 with Ivy Bridge will give some hexa core options. LGA2011 will have at least 8+ cores.

Mar 21, 2012 · Seems like Intel will be releasing their Ivy Bridge processors to the LGA 1155 socket motherboards. Yes, of course new chipsets will be released along with the new 22nm architecture, but so far it seems like flash-updates for older motherboards will be available for use on SOME (not confirmed) processors.
