Apr 15, 2018 · Windows 10 Mail (and Calendar and Contacts) is a very basic product and as you day, doesn't support general S/MIME unless you are using an email address hosted on an Exchange Server (I've not actually tried this - but this is what the documents say).

Somehow this does something different than configuring "send options". If I switch "always-html" off then mail goes to the gmail spam folder and if I switch it on mail arrives in the gmail inbox folder of my gmail contacts. Thanks again for your efforts.
