Aug 12, 2007 · Freewebs supports ftp, but you need to change to html only mode ( you can do that in the My Account section ) and you need to get premium services, like the starter package. It's about $50 a year. Or, you could keep a free account. Use the super upload tool to upload your pages. Name your home page index.html.

They did recently raise their prices, but you can still buy just a domain name from then, and you get all that other stuff for free. It's cheaper than getting a domain from GoDaddy.com for $5, because to register it with freewebs costs another $15 plus tax. They have the easiest, best-looking builder than anything else I've ever seen.

Oct 20, 2008 · According to the FreeWebs FAQ you have to use their Site Manager to upload files. Seems pretty ghetto. The FTP service is a premium service. I'm guessing the site manager is somewhere on their site after you login. You won't be able to use CyberDuck for the uploading steps.
