Whether that has changed or whether that worked because of some API mistakenly present, I can't be sure. I'll bet a beer that it's meant to work as it did for me.

Sep 11, 2017 · iSCSI Setup on ESXi. Now that the network settings are out of the way we can configure iSCSI itself. Go to Storage > Adapters > Configure iSCSI and check the enable box. Under Network port bindings add all of your connections. Also, add all your FreeNAS iSCSI IPs to Dynamic targets.
