    Jan 15, 2012 · I am trying to connect dual monitors. I can connect either monitor using the DVI-D cable. So that tells me that both monitors are working and can connect to the computer via DVI-D. When I try using the VGA cable (with either monitor) I get the screen message there is no signal coming from the computer. I have tried two different VGA cables.

    My monitor uses VGA, and it's connected with an adaptor to the DVI port on my Nvidia card. There are 2 other ports there (hdmi and displayport). Just checking: Does it mean I need a monitor with hdmi support in order to use this? And then I just plug it in and set it up in windows? I assume the my pc is set to user primarly my nvidia card.
