The only reason that I would prefer the Xbox controller for Dragon Age Origins is that I hate that with the M/K you have to stop your character from moving so that you can hold shift to keep the camera following the character. Everything else about the M/K controls are fine to me, even better than on the console. More precise, I mean.

this game on PC is different than from the console versions! On PC it plays like Baldurs Gate and on Console it plays like Morrowind. (only the combat) The console verion als has some things made easier because of the limitied control. This is an over-stated exaggeration. I own the Dragon Age Origins CE for Xbox and this version on PC.

The PC version is very different from the console version and I don't think a controller would really work. The UI is optimised for a keyboard and mouse.
