Feb 10, 2008 · What is the max rate for jumbo frames? I've searched and I can't seem to find the answer. I'm transferring 928GB over Cat5e thru a DGS-2205 to a NS4300N and it takes a llllllllllong time. I was looking at the 2205 and the NS4300 both support 9k jumbo frames. What does the DNS-323 support?

Jun 03, 2008 · Everything is CAT 6 and 1 Gbps. Vista reports 44 MB/s when copying 100 MB+ files. I am adding a DGS-2205 on the DGL-4300. The DGL-4300 does not support jumbo framing. I found how to do it in Fedora 7. Set MTU=9000 in a network file. I was expect closer to 70-80 MB/s. The Dlink DGS-2205 has a 10 Gbps fabric switch.

Mar 02, 2010 · First off, jumbo frames are ONLY applicable to gigabit wired connections. They are not used on 100mbit wired connections or any wireless connection. Obviously, in order for jumbo frames to be effective all the devices in the path must support them.
