The only controller Dead Space likes is the Xbox 360 controller. It's the only officially supported controller, since you can't redefine the buttons on any other controller. If you insert a non-360 controller, it will detect it and automatically map the buttons for you, but the buttons will be wrong.

The original had full 360 pad support, so I don't see why this one wouldn't. User Info: V3l2g1L. ... Depends on the system really, I'm running an Asus ZX75LAB with a core i5 5200, integrated graphics and 8gb ram with windows 10 64 bit. I also use the xbox 360 controller for windows and don't really have any issues. I believe any system built after 2013 should run it fine without much difficulty.
