    Honestly I've not been impressed with Code::Blocks, at least not on the Mac. As for Python development I was using Eclipse, with PyDev, for a long time as PyDev was excellent. Unfortunately Eclipse seems to have become far to unstable for me to suggest to anyone, let's face it an IDE that trashes your work space and looses configuration info is not an IDE to recommend.
