If you have primary physical custody of a child and you are receiving child support for that child, I would say that you are responsible for the school lunches. In the alternative, I suppose you could try to claim the cost of school lunches as an "extraordinary expense" to tack onto the normal support amount.

Sep 17, 2013 · My question involves child support in the State of: California I am order to pay about $1600/month in child support plus half of medical costs and half of school expenses. Is school lunch considered a school expense?
