Feb 15, 2012 · According to the spec CAT6 (and not CAT6A) cabling is supported up to 121' ft in a hostile alien crosstalk environment (such as when cables are bundled together). We could choose to use CAT6A components but we are trying to save some funds (CAT6A components doubles our price).

Feb 24, 2012 · I have installed both cat5e and cat6, i have noticed a lesser EMI from cat6 than cat5 and i would recommend cat6 as this reduces nosie and has reduced traffic, plus like mentioned above if you want to go to 10gb, you dont need to install new cabling. My data center is using around 1km of cat6 as well as the office machines and even the printer.
