Oct 24, 2018 · BT has only enabled IPv6 on the HH5 and Smart Hub (HH6) at present. There are a couple of sites that mention the HH4 is not hardware capable of IPv6 You can contact a support rep here for further information.

Today’s update confirms that IPv6 is now live, although at present only those with BT’s latest SmartHub router (or a third-party one that supports IPv6) can take advantage of the new system. Existing BT subscribers with the older HomeHub 4 and 5 routers will follow from early 2017.

Today the Hub 6 does support IPv6 and has been available since October 2016. BT DNS servers don't yet support IPv6, but that's not really an issue as the IPv4 DNS server will return both an A (IPv4) and AAAA (IPv6) record for a name. The Hub doesn't issue IPv6 addresses as such.

Although if I were being pedantic, you wouldn't get 100% on some other IPv6 test sites as BT does not currently support IPv6 on their DNS servers. Regards

Aug 23, 2016 · BT has revealed it is enabling IPv6 (internet protocol version six) on its home broadband network, starting this autumn. The company is bringing the new IP standard to users of its Smart Hub customers, starting this year. Home Hub 5 users will get it in early 2017.

Ensure your router is capable of IPv6. If you have a BT Home Hub version 4 or earlier, the hardware is not capable of IPv6. Wait for BT to enable it (announced for later this year). When it is announced, BT will also describe what they intend to do about older Hubs.
