Re: BT Smart Hub and Bonjour. Yes, I've split the bands, but still can't find the printer over Bonjour. I had a similar problem with the Home Hub 5 and instead went back to a Asus router.

BT HomeHub 5 - mDNS / Bonjour incompatiblity / BUG... - BT ...

I stringly believe that the BT HomeHub 5 has an incompatibility with Apple's Bonjour service, which is an implementation of mDNS - an industry standard. When my computer is connected to my home hub using WiFi then bonjour works perfectly. Specifically: I can detect and use my Network attached printer.

HomeHub 3 - Apple Bonjour not working for AirPlay ... - BT

    https://community.bt.com/t5/Archive-Staging/HomeHub-3-Apple-Bonjour-not-working-for-AirPlay-AirPrint/td-p/230033
This does not work & belive me, I have tried EVERYTHING to make it work & been around the support forums. The only possibiliy left is that the new router does NOT support Bonjour. That will be quite a ridiculous step from BT since Bonjour is de facto standard for most devices to connect.

Home Hub 5 and Bonjour? - Plusnet Community

Is anyone using Bonjour and the BT Home Hub 5? I'm having a bit of trouble connecting to a wired device that(I assume) relies on Bonjour for discovery. Worked fine with the previous routers I've played with. It's a revision BT Hub 5A, firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.173.1.6 (Type A) if that's any help.

Hi all, Bit late I realise, but I have been tearing my hair out with a similar issue on a Business Hub 3. Eventually discovered that having spaces in the device names assigned in the router's Business Network dialog, or even Unknown Devices causes Apple protocols to fail to route between devices.

AirPrint and Bt Home Hub - Apple Community

    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2662763
Aug 08, 2017 · Very nice but not necessary in this instance! Solution. BT Home Hub 3 uses "smart wireless" which is supposed to switch channels when interference is detected, microwaves etc but this means that automatic Chanel swapping happens on the fly. This system seems to interfere with bonjour and hence AirPrint/AirPlay.

Connect to a BT Hub using wi-fi BT Help

Check your BT Hub is switched on. The wireless light only comes on when there's a problem, so it should be off; Put your device close to the Hub so you're getting a good signal during set-up; Make a note of your Hub's wireless network name and password. They're on the back of your Hub. Your Hub will be called something like BT-XXYYXX.
