May 20, 2018 · Do I need rules on the firewall to allow this? No. As the traffic is terminated on the ASA, it is control plane traffic, and therefor it can noz be filtered with interface ACLs. You just have to configure BGP on your ASA, nothing else. If i remember correctly, you need at least firmware 9.2, as older ASA firmwares do not support BGP.
