Dec 13, 2007 · Now I tested myself MTU sizes with Airport Extreme for n networks on its wired ports. Yes it seems to support jumbo frames finally in this release. If you need to know what size is maximum I can give you the number, but since the interest in the issue is so low I am not going to pulish it. Appple should do it. Thanks, Maciek

Jan 25, 2016 · You are mixing up the terminology.. Express and Extreme are totally different. The title is correct.. Extreme.. the text of your question replaces with Express.. they are only 10/100.. and only 2 gen of them. Any airport extreme from Gen2- Gen6. Use Gigabit ports. Do not support jumbo frames. Do not support pairing.

This EETimes PDF says, offhandedly, that 802.11n includes jumbo frame support, so Apple's claim to be able to do it over wireless is probably correct. If the client card supports it, I'd say there's a good chance it would work.
