Sep 18, 2014 · I can personally speak to this as I had a DIR-655 that had been working great for me so when I needed a good AP for the office, I bought DIR-655 for that as it had a bridge mode and I felt it was a quality unit. Of course, now I cannot update the FW on it as it will remove the Bridge Mode option.

It will wirelessly connect two or more DIR-605Ls together to create an expanded network that includes WIRED and WIRELESS connectivity.. It's the fastest N-router to date, and all efforts should be made to get the stuff to work with DD-WRT. I think it's Atheros Based. My hardware revision is "A3". Would love to help in any little way.
