To support your dipole you will need some rope to attach to the end insulators of your dipole. Wire can be used although it will capacitively couple to your antenna somewhat and may make tuning a bit of a trick. I prefer to use rope. 11.

Antenna Supports - for Wire Antenna QRZ Forums

Jan 07, 2009 · I would worry only about a tall center support. Forget the end supports by installing an inverted "V" antenna. By suppotring only the feed point, you take A LOT of stress off of the wire & also remove the need for another tall support for the other leg of the dipole.

Angle between dipole legs: The angle between the sloping wires must be at least 90° and preferably 120° or more. This angle dictates the centre support height as well as the length of ground needed to accommodate the antenna. Angle between dipole legs should be …

Installing Wire Antennas - RADIO WORKS

It is a good idea to inspect your antenna support system every few months or as a minimum, once a year. One way to accomplish this is to use the medium weight rope you used when installing your wire antenna support system. Tie one end to the support rope. Secure the free end of the 'medium' line.

Good wire for wire antenna? - Amateur Radio Stack Exchange

You can use a large gauge (say, 14-12) of copper wire which will work. For short wires that won't bend, solid copper will work. If you are going to attach it to a support structure that won't flex, finer than 14 would work. If this is a long wire that will move in the wind, etc., stranded is best to reduce fatigue issues.
