Fast Dormancy, or FD, is a mobile technology feature designed to reduce battery consumption and network utilization between mobile devices and their respective carrier networks during periods of data inactivity. It is currently implemented by monitoring the activity level of the mobile device and setting it to a control channel and power state appropriate for its level of activity.

Aug 23, 2006 · Hello, Do somebody use the "naIsrSetFiq" function (installation of fast IRQ) ? It returns a NA_NOT_SUPPORTED so I presume it is not possible to use it on DIGI Connect ME/EM ?

Jul 30, 2013 · Fast dormancy is a umts feature that SHOULD improve a bit data battery usage But this has to be supported both from your carrier and from your phone If one of these two doesn't support fdm (but the other does) you'll have an extreme battery drain (which you can see in a logcat or in the allarm tab of betterbatterystats)
