The Vatican did NOT favor the south for the slavery. Also, the Vatican never actual said that it SUPPORTED the confederacy.

Sep 16, 2012 · From what I understand the Holy See did also write to the Union saying that this was not an endorsement of the Confederacy. But this is neither here nor there since the facts that it wasn't are well laid out over and over in this thread.
