Jun 19, 2008 · I have a DGL-4500, D-Link DGE-530T Gigabit Ethernet Adapter, and cat 6 cable for my Ethernet cords. Can I use the jumbo frame setting, and what would be the correct setting.

Wireless n for macbook and future devices that will support it and a router with jumbo frames that will work for my desktop and the NV+. The D-Link DGL-4500 looks like a great option, but from what I read from the reviews it can only really handle 4k with jumbo frames on.

Dec 22, 2007 · None of the D-Link (or Linksys) consumer wireless routers support jumbo frames, as far as I know. ... I wonder why the DGL-4500 is still using under 500MHz/533MHz CPU and 16MB of RAM.

May 21, 2009 · - Even though the DLink DGL-4500 doesn't support higher jumbo frames than 4500 MTU, you should at least be getting 18MB/s to 20MB/s if all of the NICs on the laptop and NAS is gigabit. - Any other PCs (even without gigabit) that you can connect to the router and transfer to and from? - Are you transferring large or small files?

Mar 01, 2009 · (I didn't change anything on my router / switch, which at the moment is the D-Link DGL-4500; note that most gigabit switches support jumbo frames, but you should always verify with the manufacturer's website to be sure.) I then ran a few tests to see if there was any difference. I started with a simple file copy.

Mar 17, 2009 · I see no benefits to jumbo frames in a network that small. Jumbo frames are really meant for backbones and mainframe networks were the network core has move LARGE amounts of data in a single frame to lighten the load on the switch core.

Dec 01, 2007 · So DGL-4100 is just a wired router with giga ports no jumbo frames. Does the DIR-655 have jumbo frames or just new DGL-4500? The chipset does, but that feature is disabled.
