I noticed on a new 5324 switch that we picked up that it supported netflow. Altho I don't see in any of the configuration or the documentation where to point the netflow traffic. Am I missing something here or is this something that Dell started to impliment but backed out of?

Hi, Netflow is a Cisco proprietory method of displaying network traffic accounting, billing, network planning, security etc. There are no plans to add this feature or a similar feature to the PowerConnect switches.

Sep 02, 2014 · I just setup two Dell Force10 s4810 to send sFlow data to a PRTG probe. When I used the PRTG sflow tester it is failing at step 4 "Sample Format". According to the force10 manual: "FTOS supports sFlow version 5. sFlow is a standard-based sampling technology embedded within switches and routers which is used to monitor network traffic.

For campus, Cisco provides Catalyst switches and Dell provide S and N series. Cisco Catalyst switches have many series and all of them are very good.
