When I hold left or rigt pointing stick button I cant use touchpad. I couldnt find any settings which enables simultaneous use of touchpad and pointing stick buttons? I tried everything but without success... Is it possible? On my previous laptops (D-series) it was enabled by default... thanks Jan Dell Latitude E4300

This will allow you to disable either the pointing stick or the touchpad and therir associated buttons. They function independantly so you can have the pointing stick active and use the touchpad buttons if you desire. If you don't find this utility, you may need to download it from the Dell support site. Craig

Nov 14, 2013 · We have 6410's, 6420's and 6430's. Go to Dell support and try to find the Alps driver for the touchpad, and install it. It gives you the ability to control many aspects of the touchpad and buttons, including disabling the damn pointing stick! If you don't find the Alps driver on Dell's site, Google it and you should find a link that way.

Dell's pointing stick has a similar proportional response but they tend to get "stuck" and cause the mouse to drift after a fairly short amount of time. They're also concave vs. Lenovo's convex stick.
