As long as the NTFS filesystem remains closed, I would surmise that the 3G driver will always continue to be "experimental", in that they could never guarantee it to be 100% compatible (heck, they probably couldn't do that even if it were open).

But I have heard some people do so, I guess it involves modification of the GRUB install script or something.

Jun 16, 2012 · I also use Debian Squeeze with the GNOME desktop. Occasionally I have the need to mount an external NTFS drive which is about 2TB in size. All I have to do is connect the USB cable and the drive is automagically mounted.
