Does IBM have any plans for future support of XSLT 2.0 for Datapower? Whilst XSLT 1.0 with EXSLT is powerful it can't be thought of as a substitute for XSLT 2.0. (And I'm sure that's not what you are suggesting). For instance, the XPath 2.0 data model (XDM) was a major change from that used in XPath 1.0.

We got a requirement to check the epoch date and time, add the token expires time to this and determine the exact date and time a token expires. We tried in xslt 2.0 locally and the date time functions worked. When we tried the same on datapower, the functions didn't work. below are the some of the functions used dateTime dayTimeDuration hours-from-dateTime current-dateTime

The DataPower compiler supports all extensions from the XSLT 1.0 and XPath 1.0 specifications. The current support for XSLT 2.0 and XPath 2.0 is limited to the decimal data type. Numeric literals in the stylesheet are interpreted as decimals instead of double-precision floating point numbers as in 1.0.

XSLT 2.0 functions works just fine in IBM DataPower - actually, tested the sheet with this statement (without all SQL statements that require a database and are badly formatted) on a XI52.6.0.0.3 with good result. The XML managers Compile option policy of course has to be set to allow XSLT 2.0 sheets, but thats details.
