•Goal –Attempt to minimize the mass of the part while keeping the equivalent stress maximum below 32 MPa • Model Description –The boundary conditions have been applied as shown here –The 2 cylindrical supports are configured as: •Radial = Fixed •Axial = Fixed •Tangential = Free –The model is set up to parametrically vary the web thickness (see figure at right)

Fixed at one end, 2. Cylindrical support by selecting surface shaft( tangential (free), radial (fixed) and axial (fixed).. only rotation is allowed. I got some results. If I do the same analysis by LINE BODY method instead of solidshaft, I am not able to constraint the cylindrical support. So I used fixed rotation constraint.

This solid body contains a cylindrical body that I would like to apply a cylindrical support to. When I right-click on the cylinder's face, I am not given the option to insert cylindrical support. I am only given 'fixed, frictionless, compression, and elastic' support options. ... ANSYS Workbench 14.5 . RE: Cannot add a cylindrical support to a ...

Aug 01, 2018 · You are only thinking of flat surfaces. A good example where Frictionless Support is used is on the cylindrical surface of a hole to represent that hole being mounted to a rigid shaft, which is not in the model, and gives the body with the hole rotational and axial freedom about the hole axis. I don't think you can do that with Symmetry Region.

Aug 22, 2019 · Here are load types in ANSYS: * acceleration - used when we know the value of acceleration acting as a load in the system (for example cars) * gravity - when we want to include effects of self-weight for example in cantilever beam * rotational vel...

–Use only one bearing load per cylindrical surface. • If the cylindrical surface is split, select both halves of cylinder when applying the load. •Bearing loads can be defined via vector or component method. Bearing Load Force Load . . . Loads
