Hi, This patch enables the uncompressed files support in cramfs. The word 'uncompressed file' is from linear cramfs (aka Application XIP). In linear cramfs, it is used to suport XIP on NOR. However it is also helpful on OneNAND.

Oct 02, 2005 · If you are able to modify your kernel to change the cramfs entry in kconfig =y, then the klik files can be enabled. Usually, you have to address the /mnt folder to be successful in enabling klik files to open. I have operated click files from desktop in arch, PCLINUXOS, and Knoppix among others.

Oct 19, 2019 · Holes ----- This kernel supports cramfs holes (i.e. [efficient representation of] blocks in uncompressed data consisting entirely of NUL bytes), but by default mkcramfs doesn't test for & create holes, since cramfs in kernels up to at least 2.3.39 didn't support holes. Run mkcramfs with -z if you want it to create files that can have holes in them.
