Signed up for Covad's ADSL2+ 8Mbps service in October 2007 via a web page sign-up for $159/mo. Hookup was quick but was not without the typical local carrier / ISP confusion.

Just to add one more "nail in their coffin": Like thousands of others, my wonderful Covad isp and email was taken over by Megapath. Things were mostly ok, although my internet got worse and worse. May 15, 2013 · I hope I'm in the right group. I am looking to buy an SDSL modem/router to replace an old Speedstream. I have a 1.5Mbps Synchronous DSL (SDSL) connection with Covad/Megapath. The ISP support tech suggests AdTran 3133 as a compatible replacement modem/router. Here's the problem, I don't see that product number anywhere in the product section.
