Jan 17, 2007 · 1st because the convertible's heater channels are covered with additional metal that "filets" and reinforces the body. Also, since the support rails are welded to the heater chanel, you would have to remove both pieces, and then you would have a 2 piece car! That would be very scarey!

Re: convertible support rails and heater channels i cant find anyone selling complete quarters anymore, let alone for a early convertible. Two questions, first anyone have a source? and two are the verts and sedans the same from the body line down?
