When does child support end in the state of connecticut? I have always been under the impression that child support continues past the age of 18 if the child is in college. Oct 25, 2009 · Generally, the obligation ends when the child reaches 18 years of age unless the child is still in high school - in which case the support ends upon the child's graduation from high school, or the child's 19th birthday, whichever occurs first. Child support may continue past that time if the child is disabled and only by court order.

Mar 28, 2010 · There are some states in which child support does continue until about 21 or 23 as long as the child is a full time student, but apparently, Connecticut is not one of them. However it also depends on your actual child support order/divorce decree. He is supposed to continue to pay until the order says he can stop.
