Jan 01, 2008 · Boe, Kujawa and Nakano [3; 4] recently investigated relative cohomology for classical Lie superalgebras and developed a theory of support varieties. Support varieties for Lie superalgebras over the complex numbers were introduced in Boe et al. (2010) using the relative cohomology. In this paper we discuss finite generation of the relative cohomology rings for Lie superalgebras, we formulate a definition for subalgebras which detect the cohomology, also discuss realizability of support varieties.

Abstract We study cohomology for classical Lie superalgebras $\mathfrak{g}$ (e.g. gl(mn)) over the complex numbers. Using results from invariant theory, we show that there exist subsuperalgebras which detect the cohomology of $\mathfrak{g}.$ Furthermore, drawing inspiration from finite groups and restricted Lie algebras, we introduce the notion of support varieties in this context.

We investigate a new cohomology of Lie superalgebras, which may be compared to a de Rham cohomology of Lie supergroups involving both differential and integral forms. It is defined by a BRST complex of Lie superalgebra modules, which is formulated in terms of a Weyl superalgebra and incorporates inequivalent representations of the bosonic Weyl subalgebra. The new cohomology …

COHOMOLOGY AND SUPPORT VARIETIES FOR LIE SUPERALGEBRAS BRIAN D. BOE, JONATHAN R. KUJAWA, AND DANIEL K. NAKANO 1. Introduction 1.1. The blocks of the Category O (or relative Category O S) for complex semisimple Lie algebras are well known examples of highest weight categories, as defined in [CPS], with finitely many simple modules.
