This post is a reference post for those looking to squeeze maximum speed out of their Cisco Linksys E4200 v1 wireless router running DD-WRT.The DD-WRT build I currently recommend for this router is K2.6 30880 (by BrainSlayer). I have owned an E4200 v1 for a couple years and after trailing out DD-WRT and Tomato, I would say that Tomato is the way to go for E4200 v1. E4200 V2 is not supported so I cannot speak for it. I know that DD-WRT for E4200 is a WIP and has major issues including non-functional SSH on latest build among several other issues.
