As you mentioned as well the only the only option to support Windows 7 desktop is to upgrade UCCX to 8 for 32bits machines or 8.5 for 64 bits machines HTH Please rate this post if was helpful

Re: Cisco supervisor Desktop support for Windows 7 You can use a program call O rca that will allow you to modify the MSI so you can install the Supervisor and agent. We have tested using it and both the agent and the supervisor work, we haven't completed our testing on being able to monitor agent calls.
