FYI child support does not and should not appear on a payment summary. If the employee was paid gross $50,000, with $11,000 tax withheld and a further $10,000 deducted for child support, the gross on the payment summary should show $50,000 and the Tax Withheld as $11,000. Nothing else.

Sep 05, 2019 · For the Payroll Categories, select the child support deduction category. All payments deducted are listed. In the Dated From and Dated To fields, enter the period in which the child support payments were withheld. Select all the child support payments you want to include with this payment. The total appears in the Total Payment field. Click Record.

Not sure what I can do, the child support deductions are reducing the gross payments in the PAYG summaries, the tax tracking type is gross payments and it's still not appearing as the full gross? Does anyone know what can be done?

On the payslip, enter the Child support amount that you received from child support in the deduction line item. So effectively the Net Wage = Gross wage - PAYG - child support Then when you need to make your payment to Child support you will debit the child support liability account and credit your bank account.
