May 09, 2007 · I can't get X11 forwarding in sshd to work. I've just installed CentOS (5) for the first time and I want to use it as a web server. But since there are no decent command line tools I guess I have to use the X11 based, but I don't want to install a desktop/windows system on my server.

Feb 24, 2010 · But most people are not happy about using command line to start their videos. So Mplayer have available graphical front end (GUI). But to actually compile mplayer with gui, you need to have dev packages of GTK which in turn needs dev package of X11. So you have two options. Either find Mplayer in some repository and install it.
