Dec 25, 2016 · Support code 5101 indicates that the print head carriage is unable to move. On new printers, there is an orange block that prevents the carriage from moving during transit. That orange block needs to be removed, and can be found under an access panel to the right front of the platen glass.

May 21, 2019 · I am getting a "support code" message on the printer that I need to remove a piece of tape or something. I though I removed all that tape that came with the original packaging. It's Support Code 5101. I may have put a cartridge in where I should not have.. I suspect it's the orange piece that you see in the picture off to the right.
