Dec 11, 2013 · on ios there is a generic option where printers can support a std common interface called airprint. or they can make an printing app and put it in app store. if the printer maker choose to do non of those things and no 3th option general printing app include the printer as supported one can't print

The PIXMA MX860 does not have Airprint support and, since it was one of our earliest wireless models, it doesn't support the Canon Easy Photo Print app like some of our other older models. Canon will not be updating the firmware to support AIrPrint on the old MP-series PIXMA printers or older MX-series PIXMA printers like the MX870. I recently upgraded from a MP990 to a MG8220 for the AirPrint and Google CloudPrint native support.

Nov 22, 2017 · We ended up dumping the MX860 printer. I was never able to sold the problem. And we decided to upgrate to a Canon megatank printer, so we don't have to change one of 5 ink cartridges everytime we turn around.
