Sep 16, 2016 · Certificates are about validating the host being connected to is the host that is being connected to. So I choose to connect to (say) NBC, how do I know that the host I'm connecting to (given just a return from DNS for nbc.com is actually 23.40.209.26)?

Oct 29, 2015 · Having done a grep on my main.cf I'm basically missing ALL of the SMTPD settings. There must have been a change between the versions of postfix used in Centos 6 and 7, because my install was based on a working 6 implementation!

Your problem is your ca certificates. exactly on line smtp_tls_CAfile = /etc/ssl/certs to confirm that, add the following to main.cf and restart postfix service.. debug_peer_list=smtp.gmail.com debug_peer_level=3 Now send another email and look at /var/log/mail.log.You will see this message: cannot load Certificate Authority data: disabling TLS support.

This didn't actually fix my problem but +1 for putting me on the right track chcon -u system_u -t bin_t AddTrustExternalCARoot.crt sorted out the file to mirror other certs in the directory. You were right that the file was originally copied from /home/* Thanks – slowko Mar 17 '17 at 16:00

Feb 12, 2011 · I am getting some errors in my mail log and so I am not sure if postfix is working. I did not set up my domain name etc. yet, but i would be keen to get everything working right before i transfer my production server over to my newly setup machine.
