Aug 21, 2009 · You don't need jffs support... If you also use jffs you're able to use 'ipkg' as well (and another feed) AND 'ipkg-opt' with the special ddwrt feed. This should do it for creating opt on mmc (don't forget to make this permanent)

For the “Clean JFFS” option, click the Disable radio button. Click Save at the bottom. Click the Administration tab. Click the Maintenance tab. Click Reboot Router at the bottom. After the boot is complete there will be a “/jffs” filesystem present. It will have a “tmp/ipkg” directory in it which you can ignore. Just leave it there.

ipkg is broken in the current kong-mod release, an opkg doesn't work either, according to the "invalid architecture" bug. But if you combine those two... you can get ipkg-opt working. The common way of optware is to install ipkg-opt through ipkg (and for this you have to ENABLE jffs2 support, eaven if you have a usb drive).
