When i fell pregnant i was living with my parents (so classed as a single parent) even though i was still with OH. I was allowed to claim income support from about 28/29weeks pregnant and you get about £50/wk. When i had the baby it increased to £65.wk plus child tax credits of £59/wk and child benefit £20/wk. Jul 18, 2010 · You should have got your health in pregnancy grant (£190) at 25 weeks.. if you haven't, ask your midwife. Plus because you are on benefits, you should be entitled to the Sure Start maternity grant.(£500) at 29 weeks.

Jul 30, 2010 · Best Answer: You wont be able to claim income support until 29 weeks of pregnancy. Also because your husband is working and getting more then the £5000 a year low income threshold. You could still claim JSA cos the government still think your`e fit to work.
