Since they are pushing Physx this will not win over any ATI fanboys with this latest decision. Here is a copy of the email I received from Nvidia support confirming what they have done. "Hello JC, Ill explain why this function was disabled. Physx is an open software standard any company can freely develop hardware or software that supports it.

They had an ATI graphics card and wanted PhysX so they bought an Nvidia card to do just that. Now Nvidia has caused the Geforce card to stop working because there is also an ATI card in the system. Except ATi doesn't support CUDA, so why should a ATi based system support it???

May 15, 2015 · PhysX setting is still there, depends on the game. For Metro series for example, u have to disable PhysX in-game or they can quite poor performance on AMD GPUs when that is enabled. But in Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag, PhysX won't be an option on AMD GPU, or if u have NVIDIA GPU but have PhysX set to CPU.

Aug 02, 2016 · But the CPU Physx support is crippled so it doesn't run very well. I had "lots of fun" finding this out with Borderlands the Pre-sequel. I ended up with Physx on High on my gaming PC (2x Radeon 280x) after it transferred the save from my notebook (with Nvidia graphics).

Jun 26, 2008 · Second, at no point in time has AMD hinted about physx support, both AMD and nvidia had been working on a hardware implementation of the Havok engine but as for today its not been implemented. Third, vantage only implemented the physx engine (and therefore can only be accelerated by a physx compatible card) not Havok.
