This gives your operating system the ability to switch the processor's speed and voltage up and down, to preserve power when not much is being computed. Jun 09, 2015 · If any C States are enabled such as C1E, C3, C6, C7; the reported multiplier will wander at idle. This is one of the few programs that will give you any indication when C States are being used. There is another version of RealTemp but it doesn't fully support the 6 core CPUs.

Oct 05, 2012 · Disabling Cstates and/or speedstep is a hang over from the good(bad) old days of OCing. Old lore. New processors and MBs let you use them even OCing which is a great thing!! Gives life to your CPU and reduces power usage.

May 13, 2007 · Both EIST and C1E work in a simelar way as you describe. EIST can vary the amount it drops the multi and voltage depending on cpu load. C1E drops straight to the minimum multi and lowest voltage to maintan stability at that frequency. But as the origional question asks then why …

Aug 19, 2010 · Turbo works great at this frequency. C1E Support is Disabled by default so I'm still not sure what use it has. TurboMode can be disabled and SpeedStep will stay enabled, but if SpeedStep is disabled, then TurboMode gets disabled. C-STATE gets disabled when I up the bclk, but I enable it before exiting the BIOS.

How to disable C1E in Windows?! Hello all - Not sure where this goes but I need some help I just got a Lenovo Thinkstation P410 (Broadwell - E Xeon / Server 2012R2) but there is no option to disable C1E in the BIOS and therefor I am getting some fluctuation in core speed while in Windows.
