No, the Hub needs to be specially designed to work with Superfast Fibre so you can only use the BT Smart Hub or the BT Home Hub 5, Hub 4, Hub 3 or the earlier BT Infinity Hub. The Hub 3 and Hub 4 also need to have an Openreach modem that was fitted by an engineer. BT Home Hub 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0 do not support Superfast Fibre.

In absolute desperation I've decided I need to call the BT support again and go through their pointless scripts - hopefully I can stay sane. But I can't find the support number for BT Infinity anywhere on the BT web site - there's lots of pages promoting great fantastic 24/7 etc support but there doesn't seem to be a single way of contacting support?

The green BT Infinity boxes are similar to existing street side cabinets but are taller and wider than existing units, with some models being 1.6 metres (5.2 ft) tall.
