Playing large MKV files to the boxee (Avatar 8.9GB, 127 Hours 4.5GB, Dispicable Me) - movies play for a few minutes then dropout and throw me back to the main file menu. Sometimes it can be a few seconds and throws out, sometimes about 3 to 4 minutes.

Last night I decided to take a stab at my first attempt to convert a DV AVI file to H264 MKV, because they indicated this would be my best chance at getting playback.

Apr 15, 2017 · Boxee has always played nearly 100% of the mkv's and other files I've thrown at it which I've always been happy with. This SONY NSZ-GS8 plays about 10% of the mkv's I have, which is aggravating beyond description. I have the latest firmware installed also.
