May 29, 2013 · LAN mode does work, myself and my partner have 2 pc in the same room, both connected to internet hub and we can play either online via steam or offline via LAN with no problems at all. Generally switch to LAN if steam servers are having issues which happens from time to time.

i try to play BL2 with my brother via LAN. it worked one time. the only difference is that i now have a internet connection (it fell out for 3 days). he still has no internet connection because we are moving in a couple weeks and we had to cancel our DSL. my internet source is a smartphone-hotspot.
