Apr 04, 2011 · When I start up boot camp set up I choose the option "Download the Windows support software for this Mac" and it returns the message "The Windows support software is not available." I can't get past this screen. I'm running OS X 10.6.7. ... Instead it gives me some weird setup to allow me to share my files through my network.

The Boot Camp Assistant creates a temporary partition (OSXRESERVED) and copies the files to this partition. I suppose one could execute the diskutil list command while the Boot Camp Assistant is coping the Windows files. This would get the size of this partition.

May 06, 2017 · As many of you probably know, a LOT of people encounter errors when trying to download/save Windows Support Files via Bootcamp Assistant. I, like many others, got the infamous "Windows Support Software Could Not be Saved" error, and therefore, could not get the full potential out of my Mac while running Windows.

Double-click on the Bluetooth Support service. If it was stopped, click Start to enable it. Set its Startup type to Automatic. Now open the Log on tab, mark the Local System account, and click OK.
