There are no compressed video formats supported (directly) by Blender that also support alpha & high compression rates - HuffYUV, QuickTimeRLE support alpha but will still produce large files). As noted in another answer, OSX can use QuickTime, so if you're on OSX see @avvi's answer.

It has been deprecated since at least macOS 10.9 and fully removed in 10.12. I am unsure if we should remove it only in 2.8. But you cannot build blender with it supported when using a modern xcode version anyway so I would tend towards just removing it also for 2.79 if that ever happens.

As you can see by the screen shot I took, when I choose the File format I want to export my animation in, Quicktime is not an option. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks :)
