"Management Channel Auto-Discovery" (MCAD) or "Management Network auto-discovery" is a function in the AMM that allows IMM systems to not only function on I/O bay 1, but on any I/O module bay that is available. When this is enabled, preference is given to the high speed I/O modules (7, 8, 9, and 10) over I/O modules 1, 2, 3, and 4.
