Why Can't FCP X Edit Blackmagic Camera 4k Cinema DNG RAW file? Actually Blackmagic is one of FCP X supported camera manufactures, but FCP X can only support to edit the 4k Cinema DNG RAW files recorded from some old Blackmagic cameras, like Cinema Camera, URSA, URSA 4.6K, Micro Cinema Camera, Pocket Cinema Camera, URSA Mini 4K, etc.

Feb 16, 2015 · Norbert, with the increasing capabilities supporting NLE features in Resolve, and the close link between the two products, I would think FCP X will add that support this year just to keep and possibly broaden their customer base.

Jul 04, 2011 · Glad I switched to Premiere Pro a few months back, I love being able to cut in real-time in a 5700 X 1080 comp. Phantom & Red footage works perfect. Standard HD is sooo smooth. I was more curious to see Blackmagic's position on FCP X. Hopefully Blackmagic is working on a NLE...

[www.blackmagic-design.com] Not sure if it has any additional features beyond X support (240p and 480p recording would be nice and I keep bugging them about it). As always, be sure to move your Final Cut Pro preferences out of their usual place before you install as the Blackmagic installers LOVE to delete all of your FCP preferences.
