Mar 30, 2017 · The only way to enable a USB keyboard after your disabled USB in the BIOS is to either use a PS2 mouse or remove the CMOS battery off the motherboard! check the BIOS and see if somehow USB was disabled. You can pretty much be sure it’s not disabled if you can still use your USB device while in the pre-boot environment.

Mar 22, 2016 · The keyboard and mouse on one of our office's computer (older HP 6000-Pro) suddenly stopped working. I've tried using different keyboards and mice. I've also tried going into the Bios to see if the Legacy USB Support was enabled, but it's not listed anywhere in the bios. I reset the Bios settings to default, etc., but nothing is working.

Apr 09, 2018 · And I can't start booting the PC anymore by pressing keys on my Logitech USB keyboard, which is how it is set in BIOS, which also worked earlier with no prob, in the very same USB port. Now the keyboard works normally in the same port in Windows but doesn't provide that function from BIOS. Do you guys have any idea what caused all that?

May 13, 2017 · Leagcy USB support is set to enabled. But USB keyboard and mouse ONLY works on usb3. And check the 2.0 USB ports in windows and they work ... into the USB ports at the PS2 connector. Jul 08, 2016 · not all bios's allow the use of a mouse, newer UEFI Bios's do but on older machines it's not an option , but for your keyboard you could look for a Legacy Option in the bios under USB which should allow USB to work outside Win7 too. you could check the PS2 ports are still enabled too while in the bios
